2nd May 2026 | Easy–Moderate Forest Adventure
Just an hour from Nairobi, Kereita Forest offers a refreshing escape into tall indigenous trees, red-earth trails, and crisp highland air.
This hike is less about punishment and more about flow. It’s the kind of trail where conversations are easy, laughter comes naturally, and the forest does most of the healing.
The route winds through dense woodland, with wide tracks and gentle elevation changes. The scent of eucalyptus and damp earth follows you as sunlight filters softly through the canopy.
Midway through the hike, we head toward a hidden waterfall tucked inside the forest. The descent is playful and slightly technical in sections — roots, rocks, and narrow footpaths make it interesting without overwhelming beginners. The sound of falling water pulls you in before you even see it.
Along the way, open sections reveal views of the Rift Valley escarpment and rolling green hills. Perfect for photos. Perfect for reflection.
