11th July 2026 | Challenging High-Altitude Hike
Liki North is a high-altitude alpine hike with no designated summit, offering a true mountain experience without crowds. After the MET Station, the hike follows the Liki North path, passing rugged moorland, rocky ridges, and scenic viewpoints of Mt. Kenya’s main peaks.
The trail begins via Mt Kenya Sirimon Gate, with a drive to Old Moses Camp where the hike officially starts. This route is ideal for hikers preparing for Mt. Kenya summits at the end of April.
The scenery? Simply to die for— moorlands, dramatic ridges, and wide panoramic views make every step a reward. This hike is about controlled pacing, altitude adaptation, and mental focus.
